An Example of Severe Over-Packaging: Prilosec OTC

| There is an abundance of severe over-packaging of consumer goods. An item that I buy frequently is Prilosec OTC for acid reflux. Below is the detritus of 126 doses of 20-mg. of Prilosec OTC, and all of the garbage it created. I transferred the 126 tablets into a standard prescription bottle from Walgreen's that I had from when it was not sold over-the-counter. What a waste of a bunch of packaging crap! |
That is 126 tablets that came from all of that packaging and fit easily into that little 2-3/4" tall bottle.
